Kids cut 10and under

We opted for a stylist since my kid prefers his hair longer this go around. This is first haircut he's actually happy with. Im trying to grow his voic...e and let him know it's ok to speak up for things you want and how to turn an idea into your own creation. We started off with the last picture. He hated the hair parted in the middle hanging down and wanted it pushed back. I knew getting it cut like the picture would yield the same results, but he did not and he was so not excited when I showed Lavern the example picture. She was absolutely wonderful and helped him turn that example picture into what he wanted. Showed him different ways he could have his side burns and worked with them until he was happy with them. He's such a quiet and soft spoken kid, so I kept asking him if he was liking the process so far to give him a chance to speak up and change it if he wanted. He said he was not, so the stylist and I asked him what he doesn't like about it. It was because he thought it wasn't going to turn out how he wanted. The stylist and I reassured him to trust the process and that because he did a good job conveying what he wanted at the start, the end result would be what he wanted. It was a wonderful learning experience for him! Laverne was so patient, kind, and was very encouraging. We were very pleased with the cut and the experience. Show more
