I’m usually not one to leave negative reviews at all but this one is warranted. Bri’s work is great that’s not where my issue is, but she has proved i...nconsistent. I’ve been a returning client with her and throughout the time she’s braided my hair there’s been few cancellations with communication. Today I drove to San Jose from Salinas for our 11:30am appointment which she confirmed, but once I arrived she wasn’t reachable. No returning answered text or call still hours later. Blatantly unprofessional, if you’re going to make a client who drives 1+ hour plus for a service the least that could be done is follow through with communication if the appointment must be cancelled. Drove about a hour away to get my braids done by Bri. She was super cool and she had a good vibe and everything like that💯. But I think my hair was t...oo thick or too much for her. I’m black and my hair is just real thick even when it blowed out which it was and if there was any issues before she definitely could’ve approached and been like “look I can’t do your hair and here is why” and we both could’ve saved time and I could’ve saved money and it would’ve been fine like that. I got 4 braids and ended up taking them out right after she finished inside of her house. The problem with the braids were they just didn’t come out clean, the braids were uneven and crooked, hair popping out in some areas, hair being pulled in some parts causing pain, some spots were soaked with gel and some spots didn’t even really have gel. I probably get my hair braided every 3 weeks and I’ve had braids my whole entire life damn near and I am 17 so I know exactly what they should feel like so I am not new to this lol. She offered a refund but in moment I said no because I felt like I wasted her time and I wanted to respect it. Driving home a hour I realized damn it was a waste of my time completely too lol 2 hour round trip 60$ dollars down the drain plus gas, I should’ve said yes😂 I texted her apologizing for being rude if it seemed like If I even was hoping for a response maybe we could’ve talked about it more but damn I didn’t receive a response I know everybody has a personal life and everything but I also work with hair and I understand exactly how it is and how everything works I wrote this review while waiting on another one of my clients tbh so idk a response would be nice🤷🏾‍♂️ . but no worries this is just my personal experience I hope nobody else has to go through this especially before a event of some sort. 🙏🏾 Show more

Difficult to get ahold of, confirmed my appointment at 4:15 then realized she was out of town and wasn’t gonna make it till 5. Never came at 5.. area ...isn’t specific and sends you to tattoo place.. I’m sure she does good work but was a bad experience For me and wasted a lot of my time and never answered my text or calls and never showed up to braid my hair. (She did make sure I didn’t get a cancellation fee though so I am thankful for that) Show more

“Around 5” is what my message said, first off. I messaged you at 5:30 saying I’m done but you had left 5 minutes prior. Second, I don’t put an exact address on Booksy for safety reasons. I send my address once my clients are down the street at the tattoo shop. Third, I get tons of messages, calls & texts related to braiding every day aside from personal messages, calls & texts on TOP of having a personal life. So yes it may be difficult to get a hold of me.
