I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to have found Chrissy and her team! This was truly the best hair care experience I’ve had. Chrissy Collins at REM Salon is a QUEEN. Full stop. My hair is naturally wavy but thin, and for years I’ve walked out of salons wondering why it look...ed flatter than when I walked in. Chrissy gets it. She understands the science of how to cut and shape hair so it actually works with you, not against you. What really sets her apart is how she shows up for you. When your hair starts changing and doing things you did not sign up for, it can feel…a lot. Chrissy doesn’t brush past that. She listens, she gets it, and then she works her magic. It had been a year since my last cut and I was convinced my best hair days were behind me. Nope. With the right cut, a little styling guidance, and her touch, I walked out feeling like myself again. Actually, better. Yes, it’s an investment. And yes, it’s worth every single penny.

Chrissy is your GIRL! I started my curly girl journey while living in Atlanta 15 years ago. When I first moved to Chicago a decade ago, I didn't trust... anyone here to cut my curls - they gave me a confidence and personality that was precious to me - so I would fly back to Atlanta every 9 months for a cut. When Chrissy opened her salon, I came in hoping for a miracle. She was a 5 minute walk from my house and her IG showed her range across all styles and curl types. From the first time I sat in her chair, I knew she was the real deal. Her vast experience paired with her keen interest in listening to your goals and desires has left me with my favorite haircuts ever. I have tried styles I never would have dreamed of years ago (hello bangs!), because I trust her skill and judgment supremely. The whole salon is a vibe - from beautiful plants, to a friendly salon dog, and the most fun stylists. Don't let the price scare you away - it's worth it for you to have a hair cut that will be uniquely you!

Words honestly can’t describe how much I loved my experience with Chrissy & REM Salon. The whole vibe of the salon is perfect: chill, relaxing, and su...per cute. Chrissy and Annelise were both extremely kind and welcoming. I’ve had probably 10 curly cuts in my life, but this is the best one BY FAR. It was honestly the best haircut in general that I’ve ever had. Chrissy is funny, chill, and super knowledgeable about all things hair. She took one look at my hair when I arrived and knew that I previously had an iron deficiency. She educated me about what causes hair loss, how to best style my curls, what products to use, best shampooing/ conditioning practices, how to sleep in my curls, and how to easily re-style hair on non-wash days. She offered products to purchase at the salon, but wasn’t pushy about them. She was so interesting and funny to talk to, I was so happy and relaxed the entire time I was there. I normally don’t trust just anyone with a drastic hairstyle change, but after meeting her and seeing what her vibe was like, I knew she was going to be rad. She delivered the cutest curly bangs (my first ever!), and I have zero regrets. Best of all, her adorable dog Marnie sat in my lap and passed out for most of the time I was there, and I nearly died of cuteness overload. 1000% would recommend!
