Hairstyling Relaxer retouch

This stylist specializes in natural hair, so for example she charges $75 for silk press on natural hair, but when I informed her I had relaxed hair, &... other beauticians charge $50 for relaxed because it's a basic flat iron, she still wanted me to pay $75, then she said flexirod set would be $70, because it's less time consuming for her, then flat ironing. Now suddenly this morning, sent a rude message saying flexirod set $75+ based on hair length!!! (She used exclamation marks which is extremely rude, & unprofessional). When I contacted her to ask if it would be more then $75 for my hair length, she said "no it would be $75" so although it's more then the $70 she verbally quoted to my face in the salon, I thanked her & confirmed, but within the hour, she sent a text saying she was cancelling my appt because of my confusion. Why wouldn't anyone be confused if you verbally said to them in the salon 2 weeks ago a different price, now raised the price??? Also her app says relaxer touchup $65, (which is deceiving because that price is literally for her only applying the relaxer, it doesn't include blowdrying, or sitting under a dryer, curling or flat ironing the hair, so she needs to add a note letting relaxed clients know the true cost is at least $100, & if your hair is long it will cost even more! She's charging more for services then more talented master stylist in the area charge!! She did me a favor by cancelling my appointment, because as a minister I expected her to have integrity since she says she is a Christian. I hope this honest review helps someone else avoid the price changing & price gouging that I experienced with Jawana. Show more
