Fascinated!!! Yes, I am fascinated that I would receive an inquiry to review my experience with Petbox after my email , subsequent phone call and fo...llow-up email (which was never responded to). So yes, I am quite DELIGHTED to share my thoughts about my experience with Petbox to the general public. Here is a snapshot of my initial email:. Good morning- It is really hard to put into words just how disgusted I am with the services received yesterday for my dog’s 1:30 appointment. Before I start, I will add that ***** first appointment was excellent. The second appointment was nowhere near detailed quality wise as the first appointment but I decided to book again based on how well my dog looked for his first grooming. When the groomer arrived, my dog was extremely reluctant to go to her which I chalked up to him simply not wanting to be groomed. Upon completion, my husband who was in a meeting opened the door and paid the groomer.He did not do a once-over. When I saw my dog , he looked ok with some things again that were done better the first time . Not happy, I’ll live with it. But what I am outraged about is the long deep mark that extends from the back of his hip to his leg .Hair is missing from the area and it exposes purplish skin. Not sure if it was from the clippers or the dryer but it looks painful and my dog keeps licking the area. It’s one thing to make a mistake or to explain what happened but nothing was mentioned and that’s not cool. Just looking at it , I can’t imagine the pain my dog was in yesterday which makes me both angry and sad. Before posting my review with pics I wanted to notify you directly. Pet owners have an expectation of quality service and that their pet will be handled with care. This is not unreasonable. Please refund. So, as you can see, I made an effort. I received a call from management stating the subpar work came with the basic package and the groomer said dog may have had matting in the back. All lies! The groomer would not accept any accountability for it I. I am not new to grooming and know what a basic groom should entail and as a result my dog is throughly brushed before he is given to the groomer. I expected them to make it right in some way. The manager (possibly owner) questioned whether I wanted my money back because the dog still did receive a bath. Yup, that’s what he said. With that logic, it’s like cutting off the wrong leg and still expecting to get paid because a surgery was still performed. I later sent an email to the manager to have his name for reference and explained my disappointment and mentioned that I was taking my dog to the vet, which I did. My dog now has a black line of hair that area. It was explained that hair will come back differently in the area of an injury. My hope is that with continued cuts we can restore his natural coat. All from clipper burn, and I’m sure they knew before even engaging with me in such an unprofessional manner. No accountability or ownership of anything. Very unfortunate. Remove my dog from your site. This is from his second groom. He’s the one with the red imitation Louis handkerchief! Show more
