Shanta is great! This was my first time trying a salon since the pandemic. I’m usually washing and conditioning my own hair and then getting knotless ...braids. I was preparing for a work conference and so I wanted some curls! I also love getting crochet styles and so I purchased the beach curl hair and wanted it cut into a bob. At first we could not decide on whether to keep it long or cut the crochet hair, but trust me!!!!!! 😃🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 When I tell you Shanta and I both were so happy with the end result this cut was absolutely amazing!!!!! I mean ya’ll she did that!!! I loved how she talked with me about my hair and what she was doing each step of the way! I decided to also get my ends trimmed as well and Shanta made her suggestion and I went with it! I usually trim my own ends here and there when I take out my braids. I have been the victim of a scissor happy stylist in the past! :( However, Shanta explained to me what was going on and what she was seeing going on with my hair. I decided to go with her and that was the best choice so that he can’t grow healthily. I also liked how she faces you in the mirror so u can see what she is doing. I throughly enjoyed the shampoo and conditioning this really felt great to have someone wash my hair so I would not have to worry about that part. My hair is thick and I’m just glad that she took her time with my braid down and I appreciate it because she was patient and detailed and it showed when she talked about preserving my edges and the different technique that she wanted to try for my braid down, I truly appreciated this! I have been receiving a lot of comments on my hairstyle and people really loved the 1b/30 color. Shanta did great with separating the hair as it is fine crochet hair that she had to work with. I look forward to setting up my next appointment. This review is about a week late but as I mention I was prepping for my work conference and so I’m just now getting around to doing this. If you are looking for a hair salon please try Iconic Studios! You will not be disappointed. Show more
