Regular Gel Builder Manicure

This review is so so so overdue. They do such an amazing and meticulous job, gold chrome. My nails came out beautiful and lasted so long. The tech spe...nt so much time molding and shaping extensions from scratch on my naturally raggedy natural nails. Raggedy is no exaggeration- I wish I took before photos to drive the point home on what a miracle they worked. I literally chose this salon because of all the glowing reviews in such a short amount of time, as this salon is not close to me at all and I traveled to get there. It was worth the trip! I feel silly because afterwards I was convinced to try out a different nail place (popular one in Skokie) that my sister and childhood friend have been going to for years. BIG MISTAKE. The first set had nails coming loose 1.5 weeks in and I was reinforcing with nail glue, half of my nails were coming loose by the end of the month (NEVER had this happen with any gel manicure done anywhere). The second set was done by the rudest woman I ever met yesterday, and I will never go back there. I will spend the rest of my life apologizing to ipop for straying! They do such amazing work and I will be making an appointment with them when due. Please give them a try and support a good small business with reliable work! 6/22/25 to follow-up from my review a few weeks ago- I went back today and saw Jamal. She is so hilarious and did a beautiful job. Jamal did not yell at me once or accuse me of messing up the nails like the lady at the last nail salon, which shouldn’t be an expectation and but was appreciated anyway. Also cleaned up the overzealous gel and hack job from said previous tech and salon in Skokie. I’m very happy I went back! Pics of her work and my cat who prefers to be included for tax. Jamal was fun to be around and, as always, Linh made sure everyone was being taken care of. Cannot recommend them enough. It is absolutely worth the money and trip. Show more

I am so glad that I found this place! From the moment I was contacted, I was made to feel special. I created a project to find a salon and I was immed...iately contacted by the owner to tell me about their Russian pedicure with a paraffin wax and hot stone massage. That sounded quite nice, so i sent her a text (I thought it was very convenient that she offered the option to book over text with her) to book the appointment for the afternoon of that same day. I was greeted by the owner-- who was so attentive and kind. I thought they had a pretty decent color selection, too. Upon choosing my color I was seated and my tech started working on me. I also really enjoyed the massage chair, it was really relaxing. I was offered the remote to choose anything I'd like to watch on Netflix, which I also thought was a nice touch. I chose to watch a show on my phone, that I was already invested in. There was one other woman who was also getting a pedi when I arrived and she ended up leaving about halfway through my appt. The other tech then came to assist my girl. It turns out that because I opted to do regular polish instead of no chip, I couldn't get the massage and paraffin treatment after getting them painted bc they wouldn't be dry and it would have messed them up. The techs leave at 3 instead of 4 on Sunday and the owner does not do color and she was the one who was going to massage and do the treatment (I had made note that I was interested in a no chip pedicure and ended up switching last minute, so it's not their fault, it's mind!! Totally understand that!). She assured me that next time I come in they will pamper me to the extreme! I am definitely looking forward to going back and getting the gel builder for my nails and to get the hot stone massage & paraffin treatment. I also liked how informative she was about the difference between acrylic nails and the gel builder and stated their goal is to improve the health of your nail, overall! Which I love! I've always hated how weak my real nails would be after having acrylics and even gels in the past; so improving & maintaining my nail's health is very important to me. Definitely give this place a try if you are looking to be treated like a VIP, just note that it's by appointment only! They are very fast to respond, so don't hesitate to give them a try!! Show more

I use to be very happy with the services here, but today everything went downhill. The lady that did my pedicure today was new, I wish I was warned. W...hile cutting my nails she got really close to my skin and I’m sure I got cut. That area is now sore and it burns. Since the lady was new, another lady jumped in to help her and redid almost everything the original lady did. Although she did miss buffing the nail beds, wonder how long the polish will last. Towards the end of the pedicure when the original lady put on exfoliation on one leg and went to the other leg, the other lady jump in to take the exfoliation off . When it came to lotion time all they did was put lotion on and gave me a 15 sec massage before moving onto the next step which was hot towel that lasted about 15 secs, even then not all the lotion was removed. My legs were still sticky from the lotion.As one lady was polishing my toes and moved to anotber foot one last jumped into put on the top coat. I get it that it’s at the end of the day but try to make it less obvious you are rushing. When I went to paid, I was told I had ingrown and it was an extra charge to have my ingrown taken care. Something that they did not make known and I did not charge me for previous times I have been there . I didn’t even ask to have it done. I am quite disappointed, I understand that everyone starts off new, but rushing through a pedicure at the end does not make up for other flaws that occurred during the pedicure. Especially for my extra “charge” something I didn’t ask for and wasnt even asked if I wanted taken care of. Now that I’m looking my toes are weirdly shape and crooked. I will not be coming back. I live so close to this salon but never knew it was there! I’m so glad I read the reviews and found this local spot to get a Russian manicure. Honestl...y the best manicure I think I’ve had. I like to keep my nails short, and she did a beautiful job. She was quick and got the polish perfectly close to my cuticles so it will grow out nicely! Lots of colors to choose from and incredibly reasonable price. Show more
