Hydration treatment

I absolutely detest bad service but I’ve gone back so many times in the hopes that it would get better. I have tried to remain calm and give the benef...it of the doubt but time and time again I am tested. Firstly, in what world is it okay to have a booking service that’s open for the whole day with only 2 hairstylists available? What’s the point of booking if you are going to sit there waiting for someone to be available and to give you the best service? I was there for a treatment for my hair which has now grown out significantly. Because of the short staff situation the hairstylist put mousse on my hair to dry despite me explaining that we had stopped putting foam on my hair because it had grown out and we didn’t do it the last time I was there. She got all snippy with me, insinuating that she had to put mousse because there were not enough stylists to dry my hair with hand held dryer (seemingly there were other people waiting in line to get their hair dried). I let it go because clearly what I had to say didn’t matter. She didn’t even wrap my hair properly, by the time it was dry it was crunchy and hard. I was passed on to the other stylist who instead of gently easing my hair out of the wrap set just proceeded to rake through my hair with no thought as to the breakage it would cause… same hairstylist btw who on my last relaxer appointment thought it was a good idea to put mousse on a section of my hair, not letting it dry while straightening another portion - literally burnt my scalp to a crisp. I seriously don’t know why I go back. Tan was the reason I went there and she is never around and all I get is a sub-par experience. My hair goes through so many passes through a straightener because it feels like they don’t know how to style my hair and they are figuring it out as they go. I’ve been so loyal but I’ve been tested and I’m tired. Show more

Got my silk press done by Buhle. I had an amazing time from the beginning till the end of my appointment. I was made aware of what products are being ...used on my hair which I found very informative. She gave me some time to eat my lunch, with no rush. I had a great experience with my silk press. I learned a lot about hair and the process. I have natural 4C hair, so the process is very important befo...re a silk press and she explains that the hair cannot be too oily and if it is they do offer a service to help with that so you can get the silk press but they do make sure your hair is healthy enough to go through that process which is good. The process in general was great and I needed a big chop so now I have a bob, which looks really good. I’ve kept the hair for 3 weeks now but definitely need a wash soon, the trick is simply to wrap your hair when you sleep and you can keep it for a while. I was in good hands, thanks so much! It was quite a disappointing experience when I booked an appointment at 11am for washing my sew in and styling. I left the salon 6 hours later, leavin...g just before 5pm. My whole Saturday was spend at the salon for a simple wash and styling and all the customers who came after me finished their hair before me. I do think that this could’ve been avoided with communication, working equipment and fair customer treatment. It was not a great experience at all. Show more
