In situations like this, lifting the lashes with tape is necessary for proper isolation and safe application. It’s not something I use on every client — only when their lash direction requires it. During the appointment, I checked in with you to make sure you were comfortable, and you confirmed that you were okay. At no point did I pull your lashes — I always handle natural lashes very carefully. After the appointment, I didn’t receive any message from you about experiencing discomfort. I always encourage clients to contact me directly if anything feels wrong so I can assess their lashes and resolve the matter promptly. I do not normally accept foreign infills, as working over another technician’s acrylic comes with certain risks — such as product incompatibility or hidden lifting underneath — which can affect the durability of the nails. In your case, you mentioned you didn’t have enough budget for a full removal and new set, and I made an exception because I genuinely wanted to help you out. Unfortunately, when doing a foreign infill, the longevity of the nails depends heavily on the quality and condition of the previous acrylic underneath, which I can’t fully guarantee. Acrylic sets typically last 3–4 weeks with proper care, but when mixed products are involved, results can vary. I also want to note that I wasn’t contacted after your appointment to let me know there was an issue. If you had reached out sooner, I would have been more than happy to assess and fix the problem straight away. Since I only learned about this now through your review, I haven’t had the chance to see the nails in person or determine what caused the chipping and lifting. I truly appreciate your understanding and am always happy to work with my clients to find a solution.
