Laura’s work is unquestionably excellent but I will never go back to her. I booked a bday treat ( 3 hr 10 min appt) before a big holiday 2 months in a...dvance. Time was rescheduled by Laura a few weeks before from 230 to 4. I misread it as being 2 hours later and changed my calendar to reflect 430. I drove up for 410 and waited outside till 430 ( as unexpected traffic caused me to be 5 mins late on the last appointment). When I got there, I was shocked at how I was spoken to. I explained what had happened and asked if we could continue with something simpler in the remaining time 2 hrs 20 mins and that I’d pay the full amount as it was my error in noting the new time. Laura refused, made accusations that felt personal. She was so worked up she came across as incredibly disrespectful . I wish Laura had just called 5 or 10 mins in. I would have been straight in as I was actually sat outside and whole misunderstanding could have been avoided. In addition, The deposit of £24.5 was not returned. Edit added to Laura’s response Appt 1 - I was 5 mins early. Appt 2- I was 5 mins late due to unexpected traffic in the final stretch, not familiar with the area. I messaged to inform and explained when I got to Laura. WhatsApp evidence of both instances provided when the accusations were originally made, yet the response falsely accuses me again. Very sad. Appt 3 - Yes, I misread the time and got it wrong but that does not justify how I was treated. I stand by my review and would not recommend new clients, especially those unfamiliar with the area Show more

The history of 3 appointment bookings, arriving late to every appointment with no apology or valid explanation - this is not acceptable behaviour. It's a shame when you cannot respect people's time and I respected myself enough not to allow this to be normal practice. Understanding your need to vent, I don't think that it's standard practice in "walk in salons" to turn away clientele. I am not a Walk in salon what I do is very bespoke and do not have the available client space to have people that cannot respect that. I hope going forward you are more respectful of service providers. After receiving 9 emails notifying the editing of this review, I still stand by my decision not to carry out the service booked -

My daughter recommended Laura as she goes every 5 weeks - and I am so glad I went! Laura was very patient as I waffled on about what I wanted!! French tip gel with little flowers! So cute!
