  The boring explanation is... "The controlled scraping of the skin using a sterile, surgical blade held at a 45 degree angle for the removal of keratinized cells on the outer corneum and the fine vellous hair" Doesn't sound very exciting does it? To explain it better..... its an amazing physical exfoliation using a little blade to gently "shave" away the outer layer of dead skin. The secondary bonus about this treatment is that it also removes the fine vellus "fluffy" hair. What removing this layer of dead skin and peach fuzz does is basically giving you the smoothest skin you have ever had! What are the benefits of Dermaplaning? 1. For one..... you will have super smooth skin. Frighteningly smooth. 2.It will GLOW like its never before. 3. Your skincare products will absorb soooooo much better (my personal favourite). Why can you not rate someone minus stars? The people at Mityme treated me worse than you treat your enemies. Booking this was so difficult. Lady did ...not accept my codes for the first time ever in a groupon company - I had to ring 3 times, send a lot of messages, download this Booksy app, book with code again, fill forms and then pick Wednesday or Sundays and then notify Mityme by text! Absolute mission! What I did not know is that despite all my assurances that I had an appointment. Kayleigh did not plan on showing up or ever notifying me. I travelled for 40 minutes to a bedraggled woman who just woke up in a dressing gown, she opened 134 without introducing herself and said she knows Francine and told me to be seated in the driveway next to a trailer, trash and cast out skeleton halloween decorations. I sat next to that back door for 1 hour in the freezing cold menstruating with painful itchy burns on my arms from the day before. Occasionally, I stood and paced and muttered because it was so cold. I was shocked and confused and in pain. Three people entered and left the door next to me over the next hour and pretended like I did not exist - not even a smile was put my way and I felt like a nobody. I came to the realisation that I curled my hair and put on my best makeup and outfit to sit with a skeleton and trash! This was horrifying. I stayed smiling and was told initially Francine must be coming so I stayed for a bit longer since the business was busy ignoring all my calls and messages. The business ignored all my desperate attempts to communicate and message from 9.50am-11.40am and they have provided no explanation why. I was so weary and cold when I got home it took the rest of the day and a lot of sobbing to heal - it was so intense and humiliating. I just wanted a treat after my chest infection and am unemployed at the moment and Mityme expected me to pay good money to travel to sit back in an alley with trash and people eyeballing me weirdly, if you don't laugh you cry - which I did eventually. The irony was I had booked a ****heated**** mani pedi and in time for a performance I am heading in Harrow that I have to perform on 8th (now I will not have mani pedi in time despite paying for this in September!!!) but who am I kidding, these cruel people truly do not care. I got a message once I returned at 11.40, over 1.5 hours after my appointment on an unidentified mobile. I do not wish this experience on my worst enemy. This offer looked too good to be true and it was. Thank you SO much to the kind people of Groupon who reimbursed me and restored my dignity by giving me credits to cover the full expense of my travel. It took me 3 hours to arrange this but I refuse to lose my hard grafted money because a company made a cruel mockery of me and wasted countless hours of my time. Please do not make the same mistake I did and think the price is good and book here. Francine will only communicate with you outside of your appointment times and make you fill forms for fun. There is something fishy going on because the shack I sat next to did not look or feel like a business. A woman opened with pyjamas who knew Francine. There was no signage there and no one from Mityme has called me to apologise or replied directly to my desperate texts. I did get a message on a new number! at 11.40am saying sorry and my therapist was never coming due to an unexpected complication... sorry and that meant I couldn't be contacted and had to suffer time loss and health implications because??? Highly patronising that a business would try to justify such a failure on their end in communication and service so I decided for my sanity not to respond to Francine, who prefers to send texts on new numbers than call her clients who she is quite comfortable abandoning in the cold in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for ruining my week Francine, and making me wary of all future experiences with Groupon. Consider changing the name to Pityme Show more
