This time we took in a photo of a cut he had 8yrs previously (when we lived out of Bath). ...Going from a longish cut to very short wasn’t a problem for you and bingo the exact cut reappeared just as we had remembered it! Summary: Haircut ok, beard trim very poor. I'm always anxious when going to a new barber or hairdresser. Overall, I didn't feel at ease because of th...e speed with which hair was cut. It's probably typical of a lot of barbershops but not what I've been used to or what I look for. Haircut is fine - I can't complain but equally, I won't rush back. I have a long beard and just asked for 'straggly' ends to be tidied up - just the ends where the bottom of the beard starts to look thin. Have lost six months to a year's worth of growth from sides and bottom of beard, and have had to even it up with scissors at home. To properly even it up I'd probably need to take another inch or two off but I'll wait for it to grow first. My moustache was trimmed in the blink of an eye without asking - no handlebar for me anytime soon! Long beards take time, patience and care so I feel quite upset by the experience. I realise this is very subjective. They have so many good reviews (which is why I thought I'd give them a try), and I'm sure many people are very happy with the experience but it's really not for me. More than anything, I wish I'd just opted for a haircut and experienced the place before trusting them with my beard. Show more

Have had several great cuts from here, but this last experience was very disappointing. Really rough clipper work to the point of almost asking him to... stop. Then had to justify myself in asking for them to cut it how I had asked, as they had done something completely different. This was then completely rushed leaving random bits of hair at different lengths on the side which I ended up tidying up at home. Really frustrating experience and won’t be returning sadly. Show more
