I booked this teenage makeup tutorial for my daughter Ruby (13) as she’s just started experimenting with eyebrow pencil… and I was quietly worried it ...might all end in angry bird brows. I wanted to get her off to the right start, so I turned to Danni — a trusted friend and makeup artist I’ve personally used for years — knowing she had exactly the right personality and expertise for this age. On the way to the session, my daughter was uncharacteristically nervous. I think she was worried about being in the spotlight and whether she’d be able to replicate the techniques Danni was teaching her. But from the moment we arrived, Danni put her completely at ease. She is such a natural, warm communicator with people of any age, and Ruby relaxed instantly. The session was fantastic. Danni explained everything so clearly, encouraged Ruby to have a go herself, and kept everything totally age-appropriate — including a brilliant everyday, school-friendly makeup routine. I even picked up a few top tips myself along the way! Ruby left armed with confidence and knowledge, and I genuinely feel like we’ve swerved some of those classic teenage makeup mistakes we’ve all made. As an added bonus, Ruby had a party that evening, so Danni dialled the look up slightly with some subtle cluster lashes and a soft evening finish — meaning Ruby left not only educated, but also feeling amazing. Incredible value, beautifully judged, and delivered with so much care. Danni is one of the best in the industry and I honestly couldn’t recommend this more to other mums with daughters of a similar age. Show more
