Darcy always provides an excellent service, she pays careful attention to what I want, and the cut is always fantastic. The salon is lovely and alway...s feels like a treat to visit. Darcy is professional and will advise what you need, for example i booked Balayage for my next visit but she advised I only needed roots even though this was obviously a cheaper option and she changed it for me on Booksy. Cannot recommend highly enough. Show more

I do hate giving a bad review, but I've never had such an upsetting experience as when I visited this salon yesterday. Even basic communication is no...n-existent. It's not an easy place to find as there is minimal signage and no response to my request for directions the day before (communication is apparently only available to receive the deposit). As a result I was a few minutes late so my allotted time was reduced. But, more importantly, I was VERY disappointed with the haircut; it was nothing like the style I had requested. I could have cried when I got home. So, after numerous calls and no answer I returned to the salon and (quietly) asked Darcey if it could be put right. There was no apology and I was told I would have to wait several hours until all her other clients had left. Worse still, there came a completely unprovoked and appalling verbal attack on me by Camilla (another stylist). I can honestly say I've never been treated so disgracefully, unfairly and unprofessionally in any business setting. Darcey did eventually insist on putting my hair right in the end and did attempt to do so, but honestly, it's still awful. The whole experience was a horrendous one and I will NEVER set foot in Darcey Maria's or The Stables Hair and Makeup ever again. Show more
