I booked and paid for a spray tan online, but the whole experience was very uncomfortable. When I arrived, there was a lady getting her hair done who ...I assume was staff, but it was hard to tell as she came across so unprofessional and rude, almost like she was questioning why I was even there. No one properly greeted me, and everyone else just seemed to be standing around chatting. Millie, who was lovely, eventually took me downstairs, but I was asked to undress in the corner of a tiny room while another client was having her nails done. It felt unprofessional and far from private. Overall, Millie was polite, but the rest of the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. Show more

Bridal Party Hair Trials

I had a deeply disappointing experience during my wedding make-up and hair trial at this salon, and I would not recommend it to anyone—especially not ...for something as important as a wedding. Both my maid of honour and I came in with high hopes, but we were let down almost immediately. The hygiene standards were concerning: products were not decanted, foundation was splurted directly onto the table and picked up from there, and lip product was applied straight from the tube—something I would never expect from a professional make-up artist. While we were asked what kind of look we wanted, there was no guidance or professional input on what might suit our skin tone or features. This felt more like a rushed service than a collaborative trial. Strangely, another bride sitting next to me was clearly getting a much more attentive and expert-led experience, with the artist explaining every step and offering real advice—something we didn’t receive at all. To add to the disappointment, we weren’t even offered a drink, our appointment started late, and the whole set-up felt disorganized and unprofessional. My maid of honour was unhappy with her make-up immediately, and while I didn’t speak up at the time, I also left feeling deflated and dissatisfied. The real issue, though, came after the appointment. Within just an hour, both of our make-up applications had started to dissolve—mine without even having been set with a spray. My hair, styled by Millie, also fell apart within a couple of hours. For a wedding trial, this was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. Rather than feeling bridal, I looked like I’d just had a rough night out.
