Where to start.... Ive been neglecting myself for some time, so last summer, I attended the salon for a consultation with Emma. I hadnt coloured my ha...ir for about 6 months, and had decided to grow out my grey, so I was thinking about helping the process along with colour. Emma looked at my hair, and convinced me that I had done the hard work, and to persevere. She done a cut and blow, and I have to say, I was really happy with just that. My hair is thin, and I cant say ive ever had a cut I loved, but it just fell so nice. It was my sons graduation last Friday, so I decided it was time for another appointment. Again I was hoping for a "grey blending", however, Emma was very honest about my expectations versus reality, in that it wasnt achievable in one appointment due to various different colours already in the length of my hair, along with my natural colour, and rather would take a whole day, and that she hadnt trained in the process. She suggested a few different options and we agreed on some blonde highlights, and a silver toner, and a good chop. What I actually got was pretty much the "grey blending i had asked for, with a lovely wave. On the day of graduation, I had booked a hair up appointment. Emma asked if I had any photos i liked, and i just told her I liked braids and twists and nothing old lady. I couldn't believe it when she actually managed to do halo braids on my shoulder length thin hair. I thanked her on my way out, and told her that it was the first time I had felt I looked nice in a very long time. Emma is warm and funny, she and the girls are very laid back, and there is such a relaxed atmosphere in the salon. I dont think I will ever go anywhere else in future. Show more
