We went for the first time this morning and our pup loved it....so did we! The team are great and made us feel very welcome. Plenty of space for the d...ogs to run about. Very well organised, there is a Senerity garden for older dogs and various sessions to suit your dog's age and size. The team are there to supervise and offer good advice and tips! We stayed for a visit to the coffee dock which serves fantastic cappuccinos and an amazing selection of tray bakes. We met some nice dog owners. Definitely recommend a visit! We've already booked to go back! Show more

For my Mums birthday, I booked the Wild River Dog Park to bring our 5 dogs down as we’ve always wanted to go! We’re from Cookstown so it was over an h...ours drive for us. We were absolutely delighted when we arrived to see the park in all its glory and our 5 girls absolutely loved it! To support the business, we headed into the coffee shop to get some coffees and bought quite a few of the delicious tray to take home. I had the tray bakes in two boxes but unopened or planned to eat them in the park, I only opened the lid slightly to show my Mum how amazing they looked! Unfortunately, another owners dog came over and pressed against the box to get one of the tray bakes and succeeded. We were only concerned for the dog eating the traybake considering there would be chocolate within it, we had no other issues with the owners at all. However, a member of staff present supervising within the park, came across in quite a sharp manner to us about the situation, making us feel like it was purposely our fault. The dog owners Mum came over and apologised to us but we didn’t feel in anyway annoyed at what happened, but we we’re definitely disappointed in how we were spoken to by a member of staff. We checked on our way out if there were any signs we possibly missed given it was our first time, about no food or drink being brought into the park - but there was nothing displayed, nor was this outlined in Wild River Dog Parks terms and conditions. I also noticed the same member of staff had a cup of coffee in her hand while within the park, but we were made to feel like we done something very wrong by doing the same. We didn’t plan on eating the buns while within the park, I just simply bought and kept them with me until it was time to go. My mum also spoke to a lovely lady in the coffee shop about the situation, again to make sure we didn’t miss any signs about food and drink not being permitted in the park, and she advised there’s no rule applicable and was sorry about happened. Unfortunately we did leave Wild River Dog Park feeling disheartened about what happened, but we were so happy our 5 dogs - Darcy, Daisy, Rosie, Rylie & Margo had a great time. Show more

Happily her first experience was with simil...ar dogs and they all got on extremely well- a brilliant system, carefully thought out and managed. We had a fantastic time at wild river dog park, it really is a wonderful place for your dogs to run and play. Pretty much unlimited amount of balls an...d many other toys, great sandbox and a muddy area, plus lots of agility equipment. However there was an unruly dog present and staff were difficult to pick out as they'd no uniform. I could tell from the moment I arrived that this dog would cause issues but it wasnt until there had been an incident between it and one of my dogs did staff step in. No one came to speak to us after it had happened. Dog washing facilities were brilliant. Show more

Hi Nichola Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, we are always keen to improve what we do and so appreciate feedback! We have staff vests that I am aware were not worn on Sunday's last session and should have been! Apologies, we are in and out of the park doing other duties throughout the day and sometimes they aren't put back on when entering the field, we need to make sure they are 😊 Yes we had a 10 month intact pup in the field and yes he was full on, I did however watch his owner put him on lead and remove him from the dogs he was with but unfortunately it was only with your intact male that things escalated..I did shout over to the person handling your dog but he appeared quite frustrated with him and moved him away. Despite it being in our T&C's we aren't always informed by owners when they have intact dogs attending the park as we like to know how many are in a session, it's not uncommon for things to escalate when hormones are running high! (We had only expected one at 4pm). Watching the rest of the session things appeared to settle and the pup was put on lead. Apologies if I didn't address the particular issue with you directly but I do remember chatting to you a couple of times before leaving the park. Am very happy to have a chat with you if you want to give us a buzz regarding the incident. Again thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your feedback. Kath 😊🐾
