Vitamin B12
vitamin B-12 shots to help prevent or treat pernicious anaemia and B-12 deficiency. Generally, the results of vitamin B12 injections can last about one week. Vitamin B12 is injected into the deltoid muscle at the top of the arm, but can be given at the bottom of the arm too. If B12 is given via an IV treatment, the body may pass the majority of the vitamin through the urine. This is why the injection is given intra-muscularly and not intra-venously. B12 is best taken once every 1-2 weeks at first, until the vitamin has built up in the body and it then can be injected monthly.
