Scalp micropigmentation - the process It is a commitment - not a one-off treatment. Remember - scalp tattooing does not wash off! You must be over 18 years of age as SMP falls under the Tattooing of Minors Act. A consultation and patch test will be carried out prior to treatment. Your technician will give you an honest opinion of the predicted outcome and the stages required. Your medical history will be checked and any contraindications discussed. Aftercare is key to achieving the best possible finish. Do not pick or scratch the tattooed area. Disturbing it while healing may cause fading.
