Knotless braids

Prior to booking an appointment I phoned Penda to share with her what I was looking for and gauge if it were something she'd be able to do. Mind you I...t's a braided bob in small knotless braids, not anything difficult but some braiders have trouble securing the ends WITHOUT using rubber bands. Penda assured me it would be no problem for her. Taking her at her word I booked the appointment for "small knotless braids" and paid the $80.00 deposit. 10/24 I arrive early for my appointment, show Penda a photo of what I want (small knotless cut into a bob) and she gets started. After several minutes I reach back to feel how the first row was progressing and contrary to what I booked, "small knotless braids" Penda is CLEARLY using the knot method, and they're not small. Not what I booked and not what I told her I wanted. Penda proceeds to tell me even though her booking site (Booksy) states small knotless are $200.00 I could not get the small knotless bob I booked for $200.00. It is suddenly now an extra $100.00. Special pricing for me I guess, ok fine I just need my hair done. She removes the disastrous row, slaps even more gel on the same section and begins again. Me noticing she's creating even bigger sections than the first attempt, I bring it to her attention she's not doing small knotless. Penda proceeds to tell me I cant get the knotless bob I want in small braids and that it's impossible to do (I've had it done twice before) in small because they're box braids. Sigh... They "box" is created by how the braider parts/sections your hair. Penda apparently just didn't care to do them. She gives me some nonsense about how they're going to twist because they're short and ultimately says she can't do it and that no braider can...she can give me 10 numbers for braiders and none of them would be able to do it. It was all absurd nonsensical jibberish. Penda certainly cannot speak for other braiders, it's a basic braid style that any seasoned braider can achieve....except Penda. I will never patron her business again. And although I would have paid the additional $100 she arbitrarily decided to charge me had she been talented enough to do my hair how I wanted it, I didn't appreciate her bait and switch with her pricing and overall lack of professionalism. Highly disappointed with her customer service. ••••••••••••••••ADDENDUM•••••••••••••• Penda your entire retort is a complete falsehood. My hair is soft because it’s well conditioned /hydrated the fact you attempted to say it’s thin is comical. Are you making an excuse you’re incapable of braiding thin hair now? Well that certainly wasn’t a problem with my hair. I have no reason to lie because you’re incapable. I do however want to put other people on notice. I’m over this exchange with you. However, I did want to post my booking for the public and you as well since you claim your booking doesn’t state $200.00 when it in fact does….but you’re aware of this and you know everything I’ve stated is true. Hello Toia 1. All you said here is not true at all sorry. Its a made up story. In this Review section my clients who already got small knotless never paid 200. They paid at least 280. I don't do small knotless for 200. 2. When you call me we never ever talk about small knotless bob. I dont do that and its even not on my service. We only talked about knotless that's it. I have been braiding for 10 years I know what is Bob. When you came and you changed I felt sorry becarry I was late but I told that small bob in knotless I dont do that but I am gonna try and I ended up see that your hair is soft and thin, it won't be possible and I proposed to refund your money. I am a Believer and your made up story won't get me. I will never lie for money. Whatever God gives me, I will take. --------------Answer to your Additum----- Your screechot showed that you book for Knotless braids 200 but you came wanted to get Small knotless Bob which I did even not have on my all Services. I tried to do it but ended up seeing that your hair couldn't not. Yes I am not going back and forth. But just tell the truth. Again I do not do Small knotless Bob and if I would do it, the price will be 300 as I charged you okay.
