At Little Love Dog Grooming, we know a puppy's first introductory grooming session is a momentous occasion for all pet owners. 

The experience can have a lifelong effect on a pup, be it positive or negative. 

Therefore, we aim to provide a positive experience introducing your pup to their lifelong grooming journey by socialising your pup to the sights, smells and sounds of the grooming environment, building their confidence with each puppy groom session and giving you with advice and tips to promote their confidence and enjoyment that grooming can have on your puppy and yourselves.

We recommend your puppy has their first puppy groom as soon as they've had their vaccinations and they're able to go outside, continuing to build upon each session every 4-8 weeks to build their confidence in their grooming journey.

Puppy grooms include;

• A warm bath & shampoo designed specifically for delicate puppy skin,
• A gentle towel dry and blow dry,
• A thorough brush out,
• Nail trim & ear clean, if required.
• Introduction to other Equipment for longer coated breeds;
• Trimming of eye area, paw pads, legs and sanitary area.

In the cases of severely tangled or matted coats, we are required to take your dog's coat length short to remove the matting safely.

Matted coats can cause and hide a variety of skin and health problems.

Please take time to schedule your dog into a grooming schedule with us that suits your dog and your lifestyle.

You will be requested to sign the 'Matted Pet Release Form' for this service to be carried out, either online or in-store.

Please Note: Whilst all precautions will be taken, severely tangled and matted dogs are at a greater risk of injury and stress whilst being groomed.

You may be asked to return if your dog becomes too stressed to carry out the groom safely.
