Reflexology Feet
A reflexology treatment stimulates the reflexes in the feet to trigger self healing in the body. The body is mapped out on the feet. Your feet will be cleansed with hot mitts, cleansed energetically with a palo santo smudge, which allows your feet to be more open, then a relaxing massage to start, then we begin the diagnostics where we find energy blockages. Energy blockages can show themselves as crunchiness or bubble wrap popping or as a slight hardness or slight swelling or a mild bruising sensation. During your treatment you can be silent and drift into relaxation or ask questions. Often people ask, "Whats that bit?", It's really interesting to find out where your blockages are. At Spa Rituals you will have extra time taken on the areas of blockage to assist the body in self healing. Lemongrass essential oil blend is applied to the areas of blockage to help the breakdown of uric acid (that's what causes the crunchiness and popping). Reiki translates to life energy. Reiki is an energetic healing using universal energy that every living being is already connected to. A Reiki treatment channels more of that energy into you via the chakras of the Reiki practitioner. Some clients feel the energy, as a magnetic feeling or as heat or as a tingling sensation or sometimes all three at different times. Reiki heals on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. The only time Reiki is not appropriate is to use it on a broken bone before it has been set back into the correct place (if that is needed). I am attuned to level 2. I did level one at the age of 19 and 2 at the age of 21, now 38 at the age of writing this I am interested in doing the master level but still don't feel quite ready to support other practitioners in this magnificent healing modality. I will place my hands on your chakras (I hover over the base chakra) and can often be able to tell you where blockages may be and what you can do to assist in further clearing after your treatment, I often go off-piste and am drawn to particular areas of the body that need some assistance. So all you need to do is let yourself drift away and see what comes up for you in your meditative state. A tint test to see if you have an allergy, you don't want an allergic reaction on or near your eyes. The risk isn't worth it. Test must be at least 48 hours before treatment.
