I called and this woman had told me that I can come in as a walk in. The place was also under the name of “Blessed Hands Braiding” which didn’t have t...he same address at all and caused confusion. I told her I wasn’t from around here and she understood. I came in for a natural hair braid take out, wash and a natural hair rebraid. She kept going on her phone, calling her boyfriend, her girlfriends and everyone in the neighborhood instead of intensely trying to finish my hair. She kept trying to advertise giving me a two strand twist which I said no to. She was persistent about it and just kept saying I’ll look good in it. This woman kept trying to tell me I have damaged hair, which tons of braiders have never brought up and suggested she cuts my split ends. Every hair stylist I’ve been to always told me I take really good care of my hair, I keep up with it and only ALWAYS get braids. I said no thanks, I don’t want to cut my hair. Many braiders have successfully braided my hair and loved my hair as is without cutting anything off and came out beautifully… she kept going on about the cut even though I said no. I felt uncomfortable and eventually I just said do it. She also flat ironed my hair(?) to braid it.. I never apply that much heat to my hair and no other professional braiders has done that either. After she finished cutting my hair she played musical chairs with other clients that she over accepted and I had to wait about a hour and thirty minutes to be seen to even have my braids STARTED on. I was going to leave because I had other obligations for the day and she immediately said I’m almost done with this persons hair. 15 minutes after she was “done” she sat me down and started on two braids which took like 10 minutes because she kept going on her phone. Told her I’m going to go. How much do I owe? 95 dollars. For this experience!? I paid and left with a not even halfway done head. That was the worst salon I’ve been to. Not to mention her coughing all over me multiple times when she was actually working on my hair. I would not recommend this salon to anyone especially if you’re not from around here. She will take advantage of young girls who aren’t from around here and try to pretend she’s a expert by saying your hair is damaged so she can get more money, cut your hair off and damage it more by flat ironing it. Very wack, and scammy. Anyone who is an expert at braiding seems to know that braiding doesn’t call for a hair cut, ESPECIALLY A FLAT IRON. So that’s it. I hope this gets seen 🤷 save your money and go somewhere where they listen to the customers wants and needs, somewhere where they don’t question your reasoning and put you in a trick. Show more
