The first issue was communication. My appointment was confirmed around 9:00 PM the night before, which I fo...und unusually late for a professional service. I arrived at the agreed-upon time of 6:30 PM, but the technician was not there. A male companion answered the door, and I had to wait for her to arrive. Although my appointment was scheduled for 6:30, the service did not begin until approximately 7:00 PM.
Before we started, I asked how long the service would take and was told about one hour. I also showed a reference photo of the natural lash look I wanted. Earlier that day, I had messaged the technician with a photo of my desired style and asked about pricing, but I never received a response. As a result, I went into the appointment without a clear understanding of the final cost. Despite discussing the style several times in person, I did not feel confident that we were on the same page regarding the desired result. I ended up going with the closest reference pic SHE had to my picture.
The service environment was also uncomfortable. There were multiple dogs barking loudly in the backyard throughout the appointment, sometimes jumping against the sliding glass door. The lash station was set up near the kitchen area, and the same male companion remained present during the service. As a client lying down with my eyes closed, I found this distracting and unprofessional. I got up to him staring at me.
Additionally, the technician lost her voice and repeatedly blew air directly onto my lashes with her mouth. Whether this was part of her process or not, I found it unhygienic and uncomfortable.
The appointment ended up taking approximately 2.5 hours rather than the one hour I was quoted. I expected to be finished around 8:00 PM but was not done until about 9:30 PM. I had family plans scheduled for 9:00 PM and was not informed ahead of time that the appointment could take significantly longer. I got up to several messages from my family asking where I was.
Most disappointing was the final result. The lashes looked nothing like the reference photo I provided or the example of work that was shown to me. I specifically requested a natural look, but the finished set was much fuller and more dramatic than what I wanted. The final result resembled neither the photo I provided nor the photo she indicated she could recreate. I was extremely unhappy with the outcome.
After finishing, she recorded an after-video of the lashes. At that point, I was so disappointed with the result that all I could think about was getting home and removing them. I smiled for the video and went along with it because I wanted to finish the appointment and leave. I removed the lashes myself shortly after getting home.
When I was charged $100, I asked about the pricing because I had never received a response to my earlier question about cost and the final result did not appear to match what had been discussed. I was told it was a combination set, though the finished look did not reflect the natural style I had requested.
To top it off, I was told the appointment ran long because I “couldn’t control my eyes.” Given the constant barking dogs, the presence of someone I didn’t know in the service area, and the overall environment, I did not feel that explanation was fair.
Overall, the late arrival, extended appointment time, uncomfortable environment, hygiene concerns, lack of communication regarding pricing, poor communication regarding expectations, and unsatisfactory final result made this a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business.
