With over 21 years of experience and being a 43-time award-winning barber, I approach every haircut with careful attention to the natural structure of each client’s hairline. In your case, one side of your hairline was significantly more recessed than the other. To create a straight and balanced result, the opposite (lower) side had to be raised to match the higher, receding side — which you mentioned you were comfortable with if necessary to achieve a straight line. I also shaped the receding side to create a more defined edge so it would match the opposite side without pushing your hairline further back than it already was. My goal was to create the cleanest and most natural hairline possible while preserving as much of your hairline as I could. The final result was balanced and symmetrical, which was visible in the photos that were originally posted.
