The nail salon is nice and welcoming, and Stefani was nice enough to explain the differences between gel x vs hard gel vs acrylics. I wasn't entirely ...happy with the application since it needed to be fixed two days later however Stefani was super accommodating with the fix but I decided that Gel X just wasn't the right application for me ultimately. I went for a simple chrome color but the designs on her site/Instagram look amazing if you're looking to have actual art on your nails! Show more

She was able to answer all my questions about different types of gel and techniques and was also collabo...rative, giving recs on changes to the design and consulting me for my opinion on colors and gems. She brought my inspo design to life almost perfectly! There were a few small details in the design that were slightly off - bow shapes and centering of gems - but only things noticeable if looking super close. Show more

I moved to San Francisco recently & am SO thankful to have finally found Stephani! 💜 I came to see her with bare nails & we started with Gel x but no...w my real nails have grown so strong, we do a soft gel overlay! Stephani is not only an amazing nail tech but a true visionary artist! She slays every single time! There was even a time I didn’t vibe with the design & she got me back in right away to ensure I was satisfied! I get SO many compliments on my nails & HIGHLY recommend her! Soft gel w/ removal Nail Art Level 2

Stephani was very nice, her space was very cute, clean, and organized, and I enjoyed chatting with her during my Gel X service. She unfortunately didn...’t have the charms I preferred, which is totally not her fault. Future customers should message her with inspo photos so she can get the right materials in advance. There were a few things about the service that resulted in my 2-star review, her available charms, polishes, and tools not considered. I don’t leave this review lightly but future clients need to consider this. (1) Improper Gel X application. I wanted to keep the length of my nails and have a soft gel overlay on my natural nails. Due to nails done previously elsewhere (glued tips), she suggested a soak-off and Gel X extensions, which then could be taken off the next appointment for a hard gel overlay instead due to the length of my nails. I was ok with that. After application, I found that there was a significant gap between my natural nail tip and the extension itself. There is some gel on my natural nail that protects it from fungal infection in case water gets in this gap. However there is a lot of opportunity for dirt to accumulate in that gap and now I have to use a tooth pick to clean it up everyday. If you were to look underneath the nail, my nails look really chunky. I showed a few of my friends, including some that have done Gel X, and they all say it doesn’t look like proper application. I also showed Reddit the same picture in my review who collectively agree that this job was lacking. At the very least, she could have filled this gap with more gel/put more rubber base gel on my natural nail’s free edge so I don’t have to dig out dirt everyday. If these tips were not fitted properly, it’s honestly just better to admit you don’t have the right size tips for the client instead of cutting them down from XL like she did. I asked about it and she said it’s fine. It’s not. (2) An overall feeling of a rushed job. Another client came for her appointment in the middle of my appointment. Only one hand was done with nail art, and after her next client came, I just felt the other hand was definitely a rushed job. The rhinestone placement was sloppy, really unlike my inspo, which I’ve also included in the picture. She freestyled my thumb nail art with additional rhinestones, which are not even centered (not pictured). (3) Use of beetles products or unregulated, low quality products with higher HEMA content. She used beetles and that alone is enough for me not to come back. I didn’t realize until after I left that she also left cured gel on my skin bordering the nail sidewall, which increases my chances of developing a HEMA allergy. I am so unhappy with my nails, and I’m going to file/soak them off myself as soon as I have time. I used to do my own structured gel nails and I only go to salons for the convenience since I don’t have much time these days. So I have a good idea about nail polish brands and what generally can be improved when it comes to nail art. I don’t think this job was worth $145 pre-tip. Her other designs on instagram look great, but my nails don’t look right. This is a terrible job. Show more

Im sorry you are unhappy with your nails. I do want to be completely transparent I did struggle with your appointment in total. Your removal took me over a hour first with the soak off and hard gel removal. Since you had existing product the GELX did not sit properly hence the chunkyness beneath. The nail design with every step I would ask for your approval to move forward. I did not rush through the design even with my second client present. You booked a 2hour and 15min appointment but I took 2 hours and 30. If you were so unhappy I would have appreciated you being honest when it came to check out. I would had gave you a discount. I don't like any of my clients to leave not satisfied with my work.
