Eyebrow, lip or chin

Made a booking which was confirmed for Friday 16:30, I then received a call asking if I could come earlier or move to Saturday. We then scheduled the... booking for 11:30-12:30 would have been kept aside as I had an earlier hair appointment. I contacted Diamond Glow just before 11:00 to confirm if I can come through whereby they confirmed 11:00 will be fine. On arrival i waited approximately 10min before shown in to have the treatment done. My therapist was Melody, she was professional and prepared me for treatment. She started with my chin and hot wax was applied first, with application she pressed so hard on my throat it felt like I was choking, she removed the first wax and the preceded to apply more wax on the same area, a large piece of strip was then placed covering my whole mouth and she then tried to remove the wax but it seemed it was not working. She then continued reapplying the strip and removing several times, at one stage she left to get scissors to cut the strip while placed on my face. This continued for a while and her gloves were full of wax whereby all this was transferred to where she touched my face. Melody then applied something to clean of extra wax and I let out a cry as it was painful to the touch and she then applied post wax. I should have realised then she has not idea what she was doing and stopped the treatment but she continued with my lip wax, same procedure reapplying wax and removing several times, my skin was so sensitive to touch and I could feel it burning, she then try to remove the hair that was not removed with waxing with a blade or something sharp, my eyes were closed during the treatment so did not see exactly what was used. When she was done she brought me a mirror to check and I was shocked at what I looked like she still asked if I am in pain whereby I replied my skin feels very sensitive. She then said will give me some privacy and left the room. I was laying there for probably 5-10 min and upon return she asked if I needed anything else done or wanted something to drink, I just wanted to get out of there and replied that I wanted nothing more but were waiting for her to remove the blanket and headband she placed on me, I took it off and proceeded to pay. Were soo thankful I didn’t continue with eyebrow waxing as well. Upon getting home my husband asked what happened and why my face looked like that, worried as we were to leave soon to attend a wedding. I tried to apply a cold press to soothe the redness but it was so sensitive and painful to touch. How can a professional service offer this kind of treatment especially on someone’s face. On Sunday I woke up to it not looking any better. I had cuts on my face not sure if skin was peeled off or cut with a blade and still so sensitive to touch. I will never return and definitely not recommend Diamond Glow to anyone. Pictures attached of what I looked like after treatment and the next day. Show more

The receptionist is okay, not the warmest welcome and only after I asked to buy a cuticle oil did she tell me it was free for mother's Day 9 August🤭 ... I missed 25 min somewhere, I was booked 9:15 - 11:15 but was done by 10:50 Coffee is horrible(sorry) I know it's complimentary but if my treatment is so long I wouldn't mind paying for better coffee 🙂 They only call Dolly a massage therapist because an incredible amazing badass miracle worker is not an official job title! She has automatic knot detectors in her hands and will make you feel like a brand new queen! I will definitely go back because of her! Show more
