To make things easier for Booksy providers, we created the Combo Services feature to help industry professionals better manage their multi-service offerings. Combos can be booked together in Sequence, so they happen one after the other. Or Combos can be scheduled Parallel to one another, which simply means they all start at the same time. 

For example, a barber could offer a high-end grooming treatment that includes a haircut, a straight razor shave, and a facial. Because the three services happen one after the other, this is a Combo Service in Sequence. An example of a Parallel Combo Service would be when a customer books a manicure and pedicure that both start at the same time and happen simultaneously.

This feature makes it easier for you to offer treatments and multiple services. It’s also possible to reduce the amount of administrative work on your side, while creating a more streamlined experience for clients. 

Enter the Correct Amount of Time

Many beauty and wellness businesses offer treatments with various steps that require multiple staffers with different skill sets to perform the different steps. Think of a multi-step hair service that consists of coloring, a haircut, and a blow dry. 

Sometimes those services require short time gaps between them, such as a one-hour processing time to let the color set. Accessing Combos gives you the power to schedule the correct amount of time between treatments, so that you don’t waste any of your valuable time. 

Schedule Combos in the Correct Order

In the past, some clients would schedule services in the wrong order. For instance, a client would schedule a 30-minute haircut before a two-hour long coloring treatment, instead of booking those services in the opposite order. 

This seemingly small mistake resulted in a number of providers with incorrectly booked schedules. But now, by simply taking advantage of Combo Services, you get to choose the chronological order of the services included in each Combo to make sure your schedule is always accurate.

Book Multiple Staffers for Each Combo

Keep in mind that some services should be performed by at least two staffers at the same time. Think of a manicure and a pedicure done at the same time by two nail techs. Or imagine a four-hands massage being performed by two masseuses. 

Before Combos, it wasn’t possible to book more than one staffer for one appointment. But now, you get to decide which staffers will perform each different service. 

Enabling and Setting Up Combo Services

Enabling and setting up Combo Services only takes a few easy steps. Follow these simple and easy steps to set up Combos, and start increasing your bookings today:

1. Open the Booksy Biz app and click Business Settings.
2. Select Services Setup and then choose Services & Combo Services.
3. Click on the + icon and select New Combo Service. Remember that you need to create at least two different Services before creating your first Combo.
4. Name your new Combo.
5. Decide if the Combo should be in Sequence or Parallel: Sequence is very similar to the current multi-booking, so services are performed one after another with the possibility to add an additional break time between services. Parallel is when more than one service starts at the same time and involves more than one staff member. 
6. Add services to your Combo. When you choose Sequence, you have the option to add time between services by clicking + Add time. Remember that Parallel services are performed at the same time.
7. The price is summed up from all Services in the Combo. Tip: Combos Services can have prices that vary. If the Booksy app can’t calculate a definitive price, Combos can have prices that vary or begin at a certain amount. Optional: Set a custom price for individual services to alter the total price for the Combo.
8. Add a custom Description and photos for the Combo Services.
