Started off well, my son who is almost 2yrs began to fidget and shuffle about. Charlie became impatient and on several occasions said ‘Sssh, stop cryi...ng’ I appreciate a child’s cut can be challenging. However, neither myself or my son deserved the rudeness or attitude from Charlie. He then ended the cut saying he wouldn’t do anymore because my son wouldn’t sit still saying ‘Of course he’s not going to sit still, what did you expect’ Jay was very understanding, he listened and apologised. I explained that my son’s hair was still long and not blended very well, he said ’Yes, I see what you mean’ Jay corrected and finished the cut properly. He was very kind and patient with my son. He also reduced the price. Recommendations: - [ ] Add an option to select the child’s age when booking, that way a more experienced and competent barber can cut the child’s hair depending on age. - [ ] Be more specific on age ‘under 12’ is a big age range, if the barbers are not confident or competent to cut younger children’s hair then only offer the service from an older age child upwards. - [ ] There are a lot of screens, put something on that’s child friendly and more appealing to a child in an attempt to keep them sat still and distracted for a hair cut. Young children fidget and shuffle about - this is a realistic expectation. A young child who sits perfectly still is not. I wouldn’t recommend. We won’t be returning. Show more

After getting good recommendations to visit I was really disappointed. I brought my 6 year old son in for a hair cut (I had booked in a child’s hair c...ut) and the man didn’t even introduce himself to my son. He was clearly annoyed about cutting a child’s hair and was quite aggressive in his mannerisms towards him. He also had a can of shandy at his work station which I could smell on him. I’m mostly annoyed with myself that I didn’t walk out but I won’t be returning. I do want to add that I appreciate Jay contacting me and trying to help resolve the issue. There were other children in the shop and they seemed to be welcomed by the rest of the barbers so hopefully an isolated issue. Show more

Hi Stacey; I’m really sorry you felt this way about your service and how Aaron was. We can assure you that him and our other staff do not feel this way regarding any sort of haircut and love our profession but are once again sorry about you getting this impression. Regarding the shandy on the station, he was not drinking this & is an in house joke as he does not drink at all so I’m unsure about the smell as none of us at the shop would cut hair intoxicated.
