The calls and messages—including those to the salon and your stylist—were all made after the deadline, and unfortunately, during hours when the salon was closed. Even with any issues booking through the app, no effort to contact us was made within the timeframe needed to avoid the cancellation fee. We also want to acknowledge that Promise responded to you with a respectful voice memo, simply reiterating our clearly stated policy. She most likely responded via voice memo because she was actively working with a client, and that’s often the most efficient and professional way our team can communicate while still maintaining focus on the guest in their chair. Our cancellation policy exists for a reason—it protects our stylists’ time and income. When someone cancels late, especially when we’re unable to rebook that time, it directly affects their livelihood. We apply this policy fairly to everyone, and it’s one we stand behind. It’s disheartening to see a client we’ve served go out of their way to leave negative reviews across multiple platforms over a policy that was upheld exactly as stated.
