I am extremely satisfied with my hair! Had full head curly weave done , 280gr, with a mix of 45,55 and 60cm natural high quality human hair (Also pur...chased at Giselle’s) and it looks just perfect! Had a proper consulting for the best technic to be used, then! I was advised on the best hair to match and blend with my natural hair and what top style would suits me better for the best and more natural finish. No one can say that this hair didn’t grow from my head! Highly recommend Giselle’s and the very professional team. Thank you! Show more

Got my natural hair braided yesterday, the same day I called to get an appointment. Conveniently located in the city, in the Savoy centre. You'll find... it next to the little food sitting area. The braids look so neat, and the hairstylist didn't use a lit of product, which I like. They aren't too tight, but I can tell they'll last a few weeks. Will be booking again! Show more
My 2nd time at hair by Giselle, I had a weave done for the first time by someone new which I was worried about. I arrived for my appointment and I sat... down and the lady asked me how I wanted my hair and then she started. Have had my hair done here about 5 times now. Hair was well done and neat. The price was reasonable and the hair lasted a good 5 to 6 weeks.

Every interaction between staff and clients is friendl...y, and accommodating and the owner Giselle always tries to please her clientele. A salon is more than just a place to get a haircut, it’s a sanctuary. Let's be reminded that hair for black people is a canvas for self-expression, a marker of identity, and a symbol of spirituality. These salon are spaces where barriers are erased and Black women – friends, strangers, sisters – can share, bond, laugh and express themselves freely without restraint or explanation. So for me, there is something sacred, comforting and familiar about going there. As we affectionately call Giselle auntie or Ma. The banter between the stylists as they speak in their mother tongues; even the music in the background or how amazing some of the chosen hairstyles come out always leave me in awe. I have been going there for 10 years and I always look forward to my showing up monthly as I'm one of those who is not so good at booking appointments but I always get accommodated as long as I understand some were before me. So it's such a special place; these are simple moments but they connect me to my culture and my home and I come out looking like a new woman. So if you're looking at not only getting your hair done but experiencing the culture I'll definitely recommend it. Show more
