Always have the most amazing time, Mercedes is always so lovely and knows me so well - been seeing her for years and I never would want to go anywhere... else. I leave every time so happy (and with the most amazing hair). Whatever I throw at Mercedes, blonde to brunette or back to blonde again her knowledge and skill never fails. I truly wouldn’t go anywhere else for my hair, even if that means coming back down from Newcastle when I go back up for my postgraduate degree. Incredibly talented.

Where do I start?! Mercedes is hands down, the kindest & best hairdresser I’ve ever been to. She really listens to what you want, and, by magic she ca...n achieve beautiful results. I felt instantly calm and comfortable with Mercedes, she’s also really warm and friendly. She’s an amazing talent and the only person I trust with my hair. 1000/10 if I could give that. Mercedes listened to what I wanted, and I shared a photo - it was a big change for me, and we went for it! Loved how Mercedes cut my hair. She followe...d the photo and gave advice on what might suit or not suit me (face shape, hair type). She was so lovely and easy to chat to, and I was even spoiled with a glass of prosecco. Will definitely return!

My first time visiting The Hair Salon today and I absolutely loved the friendly atmosphere from everyone who worked there especially Mercedes who was ...so welcoming and friendly and put me at ease straight away. I always feel apprehensive having my hair done and this was the first time in ages I actually relaxed and enjoyed the experience. A lovely head massage with my feet up helped. Love the colour! Such a wonderful experience with Mercedes - as always!! She’s so warm and friendly, and has so much expertise - she always understands what I’m hoping... for and absolutely nails it, even when I’m not great at explaining my vision 😅. This visit was no exception, I’m delighted with the cut, colour and advice I received and am already looking forward to the next appointment/catch-up! The salon is lovely too, great decor, friendly stylists and staff, a really nice space to be in.
