Half up/half down

I feel honestly so horrible writing this but I had a horrible experience 😭 I went in at 1.. I left after 7pm. I was supposed to get a half up half do...wn. They ended up telling me service was free 6 hours in because the stylist they gave me had never done a half up half down. I didn’t know that or else I wouldn’t have booked. I want to pay and have good hair. 😭Everything was a mess but I tipped $40 since she tried. I wasn’t shown the back of my hair until I got home and my friend freaked out telling me the tracks were right across the back of my head sticking out on both sides. I called multiple times because now I have to pay someone to take this down immediately 😭 all in all, I really just wish they would have told me they didn’t have anybody to do a half up half down because today was hell. Everybody was so nice working there, but my stylist just didn’t know how to do it. Just please let people know next time I’m sorry I have to write this but this has honestly traumatized me 😭 (((I had to edit this because I saw the comment. You guys knew it was not good you literally said “oh no that’s not right” about everything, had 2 other stylists helping, and the stylist herself told me this is why she doesn’t do ponytails and hasn’t done that style before. You told me when you told her she had to do a half up/half down she got nervous… because she didn’t do it before. I thought you guys were nice so I gave you the benefit but the fact you’re lying is not ok )))😭😭 if you guys didn’t want to work on me you could have said that instead of making me sit for 7 hours. Just please don’t do this again to anyone. Show more

The stylist did a GREAT job, and we still gave you the style free of charge, because you were not satisfied. We’re a black owned business, our apologies that the stylist has never done your type texture of hair, not the style. The stylist went the extra mile in attempts to make you happy. We’ve worked too hard to get here and refuse to let any one tear us down. I’m pretty sure, it was a traumatizing experience for the stylist as well. Thank you

Both of my sisters hairdos look good, but the experience reminded me of why I haven’t bothered to go to salons in years. Arrived at 11am, didn’t leave... until 9-930pm. We had other things planned that had to be rescheduled because the wait for my youngest sister was so long. I only stayed because I paid a non-refundable deposit. Again, their hair is cute, but not worth ditching our entire day. I don’t see us going to any salons again because overbooking/double booking seems to be a well-known and consistent issue that no one cares to fix. If there wasn’t enough reasonable time to do my youngest sisters hair I should have been told that Ava I would have figured something else out. Show more
