How did I get here? I’ve never in my life been through anything like this. I’m honestly surprised that she is still operating at this capacity and nob...ody has blasted her in the media or took legal action. I originally heard about her through word of mouth by someone who had an okay experience. After receiving a consultation I booked my appointment. During the consultation I felt like she was professional at first but boy was I wrong. I booked my initial appointment and she had to reschedule because she had the flu. The second booking got canceled because she had a client whom had issues with their hair , which caused her to cancel my appointment. Mind you I booked with her by phone I never booked through Booksy. In addition she has the non refundable policy that I discovered afterwards. This then turned into a nightmare. I honestly was trying to get my hair done and was very patient than the average person because per her “policy” she gets folks deposits and she has you pay the other remaining balance three days before your appointment . So for my style and upgrade for the hair I wanted came out to $1335. However haven’t got my hair done yet. We finally got another appointment and on my way to the appointment this girl was running late. My appointment was for 11:30am and I didn’t get into her studio until 1pm. I walk into her studio with a dog and pee pad in the corner. No apologies for the tardiness. Nothing. She then finishes up eating which was about 20 more minutes. Then for her to set up, she didn’t start my hair until 2pm. The first few hours she was taking a lot of breaks because her hand and her back was hurting. She already confirmed with me several times after showing her my hair she could have my hair completed that day. She only needed to install micro locs at the top because I have shaved sides. Let’s fast forward to 10pm ish. This lady says well i typically stop at 11pm, would you be available to come in tomorrow so I can finish? It was at the moment I had expressed how this service had to be completed that night. I didn’t care how long because I already been through enough and it wasn’t fair. I had no more time for her to waste. We needed to get it done. We hit 3am I get another surprise from her. Apparently I didn’t quite understand how her bundle policy worked. I for sure wouldn’t have booked at all if I knew. So she explains you get 5 bundles with your service and anything beyond that she charges you for extra hair. Imagine sitting there at 3am and your down to the last row of your hair and your being charged an extra $1000 for hair? Fucking insane right? The amount at first was $1400 and she thought giving me a $400 discount was helpful. Of course I didn’t have the full amount because this was an unexpected cost for me. There was definitely push back from my end, because as a customer this has been the worst experience I’ve ever been through in my life. I feel like there was lack of understanding on my part and proper communication on her end. She does alot of fast talking so I honestly didn’t know that after 5 bundles I’m getting charged. As a business owner this was the worst way to conduct business. We had to figure out different payment arrangements to cover this. Im one to always pay for my services but this wasn’t right to me at all. It didn’t feel right in my spirit. Whats crazy is I didn’t have much of a choice because I had to be at work that morning and had an important meeting. We wasn’t completed until 5am. The only positive is my hair looked good but the experience was horrible. I will never return and I highly recommend doing your research on stylists before booking. Pay attention to all their “policies” to avoid any type of chaos. I honestly feel like if she doesn’t change her business practices it’s only gonna get worse. At your own risk! Show more

I have been very patience with this young lady. She does a great job, but here problem is personal. Start with my consultant over the phone. Which wa...s not a good consultant but she look at my hair while doing a clients. We did discuss paying extra for my short at the top, from stress. On top of that i ask her to split the time in 2 days. She said i can do it in 1 day. Her attendance was horrible, i had to what till she feed her fur baby, then clean up from the not before. I look pass all that. When by 10 later. Now she tired. My top of my head is not completed. She said she couldn't grab the top, which was a lie. Because grab my kitchens will good. I also asks her was that hunan hair. She said yes maam. So i look on several websites. Trying to figure out why i just paid 300 extra for synthetic hair pass has human hair. It took another to tell me and to light a piece of this hair. So back to my regular problem lol. Now i have half head done, crochet hair at the top, till i get back from out of town. It took her several week to final finishing my hair. Now the top is fresh, and the remaining now need a retie. Every time i schedule it needed to reschedule. Not at this time, im agree because i take care of my mom with altezier . Not once did she give me instructions about what to do at home. I had to look on utube university. Now it been 10 week no retie done. So i had to find a new locotican. She was particular. But her locos came out in 3 days. So i gave her another chance. I reschedule, which she honored. But my mom died, and she did give me condolences. So after i buried my mom i reschedule again. This time i schedule for jan 1, 2024. I wIted 1 and half no response, i call several time. No answer. So now im 12 week out. Several extension came out. But im still trying to trust this process. Dont get me wrong. She a wonderful person. She can do locos, but it the personal issue for me. Everybody has problems, so ladies please do your homework on this people saying that can do micro locs, or sisterloc. They in it for the $$$. So now i have to go to houston. Or Alabama and get my hair done by the perfect braider. She wonderful . And shes older. This young generation need to go back to beauty school. BecUse this isnt it. That why i gave her 1 star . My journey into the world of locks commenced with Kaharah on May 3rd, and unfortunately, it was a rather tumultuous experience right from the outset. ...What was initially an eagerly anticipated decision turned out to be an extremely disappointing one. The challenges began with the rescheduling of my first appointment, not once but twice, at the eleventh hour, with reasons like tiredness after a previous client's session, even at odd hours of the night. During my initial appointment, I found myself in the stylist's chair for a staggering 4 hours due to her attention being diverted to her ailing dog, which she brings to her workplace. This unexpected delay prompted yet another request for rescheduling. Subsequently, she arrived more than an hour late for my next appointment, and the entire session was plagued by various distractions, necessitating a return visit on the following day. Unfortunately, this pattern of lateness persisted, prompting me to wait at a Dunkin Donuts until her arrival. Upon entering her studio, it was disheartening to see that the space had not been adequately cleaned, with dog-related items strewn about, along with toys, leftover food, and hair clippings, creating an overall chaotic atmosphere. This was far from the professional environment I had expected. In spite of the challenging experiences, I proceeded to schedule a retie appointment, accompanied by a $50 deposit. This appointment was crucial as it was intended to coincide with my birthday festivities and upcoming vacation. Regrettably, just before the scheduled date, I received a text message informing me of yet another rescheduling due to her exhaustion. This situation repeated itself twice, leaving my hair in a state of disarray for both my birthday celebration and vacation. Despite the passage of over two months, my hair had not been properly attended to. Although I was hesitant to seek an alternative stylist, given the deposit I had already paid, I decided to persevere. As my Jamaica trip approached, Kaharah proposed scheduling my appointment for the day prior, a proposition I deemed too risky. Consequently, I requested a refund of my deposit, attributing it to her consistent lack of professionalism. Astonishingly, she cited a no-refund policy, even though she was responsible for the multiple cancellations. Unfortunately, I never did receive a refund of my deposit. Remarkably, each and every appointment I had with Kaharah was canceled twice, all due to her purported tiredness. Furthermore, the condition of her studio remained subpar throughout my interactions with her. This experience stands out as one of the most unprofessional and distressing encounters I have ever had. Subsequently, I was compelled to seek assistance from another professional to rectify the damage that had accrued to my hair due to the prolonged periods between retie sessions. While it pains me to arrive at this conclusion, I am compelled to advise others to exercise caution and thorough research when selecting a professional for their journey into the world of locks. Ensuring that a stylist is registered on reputable platforms like sisterlocks.com can significantly mitigate the risk of encountering similar challenges. Despite acknowledging that Kaharah is a pleasant individual, I cannot overlook the overall negative impact of the experience. The failure to refund my deposit, despite her role in the cancellations, is an undeniable demonstration of unprofessional behavior. Throughout this ordeal, I maintained punctuality and never initiated any cancellations, yet I found myself at a disadvantage in the end. This experience has been a valuable lesson for me, and I hope that others can learn from my unfortunate encounter. Show more

There is no cancellation policy but discounts and reasonable accommodation will be made for rescheduling. 🚨The remaining balance for base services for microloc/sisterlocs & loc extensions are due by noon my time 5 days before your appointment or by noon 7 days before your appointment for payment plans. If the remaining balance is over $800 or getting extensions it is due 7 days before by 12pm. Monday appointments bal due on Friday, Tuesday on Sat & Wed app bal is due on Sunday by noon. As I am human I understand things happen, with that said I will make it my point to communicate what is going on on my end if anything does happen and my eta. I ask that the client does the same. If I am late without communication I will provide a discount. If the client is late 15 mins there will be a $25 late fee. If the client is late more than 20 mins the appointment will need to be rescheduled and a $50 fee will apply. No refund will be given but all monies will apply to the new appointment. If any further customer rescheduling happens after the first reschedule the deposit policy applies. Start times may vary based on the time I leave the night before but no later than a 4 hour difference but it will be communicated this and if possible get an agreement with both parties which will become the new start time. I will try my very best to stick to the schedule as it is laid out but as I will respect each situation that may arise with you as a customer I ask that I am given the same respect.
